Gold plating – Electrolytic surface treatment with gold
Historically, gilding is a surface treatment whereby a coating of gold leaf is applied to an object. When gilding iron and metal, special pre-treatment is required.
Sur-Tech’s surface coating with gold, is mostly used for plating printed circuit board contacts, but also for other types of electronic equipment, plugs and connectors.
The technical gilding can have a layer thickness of up to 2-3 µm.
